Appearance: Living near the edge of Canada, Cryo has to dress for the cold. Usually wears a white shirt with blue, horizontal stripes underneath his dark blue coat. The coat is lined with fur around the neck and at the end of the sleeves. Hanson possesses muck paler... Well, everything than his brother, Tobias. With bleach-white hair, pale blue eyes and a very pale complexion, while also being taller than his somewhat his somewhat short brother. Hanson usually wears a tank full of liquid nitrogen on his back for his "freeze ray" (see "weapons"). Owns a pair of custom made goggles. Heated goggles. His legs are equipped with fully insulated, wool-filled track suits with snow boots. Also possesses a dark blue face mask for his mouth and nose

Personality: Hanson is a much kinder and approachable boy than his younger brother. Ironically, some people say he has a much warmer personality. But he is quite jealous of said siblings mutation, despite his upbringing, and thus constantly tried to recreate the mutation for himself so he could stand the cold. To Hanson's dismay, he's still a Virgin, which leads to constantly trying to "get some", which leads to him randomly being lost in erotic fantasies at the most inconvenient of times. Yes, he's a bit of a perv. Cryo hates elves. No one knows why he hates elves, but he really, really does. He also doesn't get sarcasm. At. All. Some say he has too much fun with his job, and has a history of mental instability. His brother thinks he's a sadist, which is actually pretty likely.

Weapons: Cryo calls this his "super villain monologue freeze ray", but it's just device that launches a spray of liquid nitrogen. But with cryogenically altered liquid nitrogen, making it... Well, a freeze-ray. Apart from this amazing (yet mostly impractical) weapon, Hanson is also equipped with a simple ice-pick. To shatter his enemies when frozen, presumably. As well as these, he has an artificial left-hand that is technically classified as a claw. It's a steam miracle that a Cryo chemist could create an artificial hand as good as his.

Biography: Cryo's life before the apocalypse was very... Well, uneventful. His upbringing was no different to his brother's. Hanson was on a camping trip with his friends over in Canada when the apocalypse occurred. But his hopes were high, due to his heavily catholic upbringing, and of course believed he would be brought into heaven with all other saints. As you could have guessed, this was not the case. It was at around the second year stuck in a bunker in Canada that Hanson completely lost all faith in God. To make it even worse, the bunker he and his group were taking cover in did not have a substantial amount of resources. In other words, they were running out of food. So when the food supply was running critically low, they played an extremely dangerous game of spin the bottle. Think Deadman Wonderland loser penalty. The first few times they ate someone's leg, and after that they had to eat all of him to survive. By the end of it all, they had eaten thirteen people, and they only had a few days left of meteors when they had to devour Hanson's hand. When they emerged from the bunker, they were in the freezing tundras of Canada. Which was quite strange, since the bunker was supposed to be in one of the warmest parts of Canada. Many people died when they emerged, unable to withstand the temperature, but not Hanson. Cryo struggled on through the unbelievably deadly wilderness of Canada, the only thing on his side was luck. It took him weeks to leave the dreadful wilderness, and when civilisation found him, the poor boy was very close to death. It is thought that this trek through the wilderness is what caused his hair to change into this unnatural colour. They could barely save him from the extreme hypothermia he had gone through, as well as several broken ribs from encounters with the wildlife. After a year straight of recovering, Hanson couldn't bring himself to leave Canada. Knowing he had survived something like that? It was very satisfying. So he stayed on the edge of the moose infested country, studying the new cryogenically modified snow and ice of the region. It is through this research that Cryo discovered "the secrets of the ice and snow," and thus learned how to modify the properties of liquid nitrogen. But the human body has it's limits, and he could not continue testing a certain area of this science without being horribly frost bitten. So when he finally came into contact with his brother, Tobias, and learned if his mutation incident, Cryo couldn't stop himself from continuously trying to recreate the chemicals that caused his brother to mutate.
